Hello, I'm aMANDA
PROFESSIONAL Photographer
I first fell in love with photography at age 12, learning on my grandfather's Canon FTb 35mm film camera. During high school, I served as one of three photojournalists for our school newspaper, Hi-Lights. When our school moved to a new campus my senior year, I established the darkroom at our new campus and personally processed and printed all of my film work using traditional hand-developing techniques.
I began assisting professional photographers in the Fresno and Clovis area, and eventually built my own wedding photography business. I shot on professional film well into 2004, embracing the old-school craft before making the leap to digital. I was among the first photographers in our region to adopt Adobe Lightroom, which opened up new creative possibilities while honoring my darkroom roots.
My work grew to include a spot on preferred vendor lists at several notable venues and appearances at bridal shows throughout the area. In 2008, I expanded into commercial photography, including capturing the Chef's Holidays event at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park for Delaware North Companies; work that appeared in brochures and advertisements for this celebrated annual event.
After a car accident brought my photography career to an unexpected pause, I took time to reset and redirect.
Following the birth of our second child, I returned to school and earned my degree as a registered nurse. The skills I'd honed as a wedding photographer (reading people, managing family dynamics, staying calm under pressure, and genuinely caring for others) translated beautifully to bedside nursing. At its core, both careers are about the same thing: taking care of people during life's most significant moments.
Now, after establishing myself in nursing, I'm excited to return to photography on a limited basis. I specialize in family and senior portraits with a classic, timeless approach that never chases trends - just simply beautiful images that capture the joy and beauty of humanity. My goal has always been to create photographs that will stand the test of time.
My husband and I are high school sweethearts, together more than 25 years and blessed with two daughters (one in college, one in high school). I spend my free time camping, hiking, and cheering at track meets and water polo games. I'm also grateful for opportunities to give back to my community, including volunteering my photography skills to create senior posters for Sanger High School's track and cross country teams.
My approach

Capturing joy and authentic moments through a timeless lens. With roots in film photography and a heart for people, I create classic portraits that celebrate the beauty of your family's story.
I don't chase trends. My classic, timeless approach ensures your portraits will feel just as beautiful decades from now as they do today. Every session is thoughtfully composed and intentional, never rushed. I focus on authentic connection: the real smiles, genuine interactions, and unguarded moments that reveal who your family truly is.
My goal is to create a comfortable environment where everyone can relax and be themselves. The result? Portraits that feel natural, joyful, and unmistakably you.
